I once saw a movie called Pay it Forward about a little boy who began a chain of kind deeds. He did something good to three people, and told them that the repayment he wanted for his actions was that they do something good to three people, and these others had to do the same to three other people and so on. In this way, this little boy’s movement spread far and wide.
Of course i do not expect any of us to start such a movement, but it would indeed be very emotionally satisfying to do something for someone else. There is nothing that can be compared to the joy one gets by making a difference in someone else life.
With Christmas just round the corner, what better time to turn over a new leaf. For those unable to give money or things to the less privileged, they can surely spend a little time with them. Visit an old age home or orphanage, and their joyful faces will move you tears. Letting them know that someone does care for them will fill them with a sense of happiness.
Spending a little of your time, money or even saying a small prayer for someone less fortunate will work wonders. The joy of helping another person is a feeling that has no comparison.
